So delighted you’ve continued to follow my journey. Spring’s arrival is a welcomed visitor. It seems to make anything and everything possible. It fills the air with an electric energy that can’t be denied. This week, as I was working in my studio, I compiled a few “Treasured Works” to create a mini show for my Spring Collection. These paintings display an uplifting energy, both sweet and bold. My show titled “Awakening” comprises paintings that pack a big punch. As Season rolls away in Southwest Florida, please remember I am still available for private teaching and private workshops. Feel free to contact me. What’s up-and-coming for me? I am preparing for The Great Alaskan Aviation Gathering in Palmer, Alaska the first weekend in May. I will post on my website the work that will be displayed at the show. The first is the Northern Light Series. I am proud to be partnering with Dyer Brothers Aviation for this Event, In June I head to New England to teach and paint. This has become a yearly ritual. Please look for my teaching schedule on my website. Here’s to an exciting spring!! Please follow me on Instagram @mariecdyer or Facebook Marie Dyer to view my new work as it develops. So delighted you’ve continued to follow my journey. January in Florida has been exciting to say the least ….crazy rainy weather. In an instant, we’ll have beautiful sunny, blue skies and 80°. It’s made for some interesting workshops Edison Ford Winter Estates looks amazing this year …lush brilliant colored plants, surround the grounds abutting the Caloosahatchee River. It is especially nice to teach in such in an incredible venue. A couple weeks back one of my students, (Bill F. Laplante) came to write an article about my Workshops. He was game for being involved in painting a piece of silk and he carried with him a piece of art in his back pocket for Inspiration. The class was filled with camaraderie, detailed instruction, laughter, and much banter. All my students, painters and novices alike (as usual) created an amazing piece of art. by the end of class Bill certainly understood what would be described as high energy and the positive style of my teaching. I will be happy to see his article when it comes out in the Florida Country and Coast magazine. This month I am also honored to have two landscape paintings involved in the Edison Ford Winter Estates seasonal fine art show …it is at their Caretakers Cottage and will run through May. In addition to teaching for the next couple of months, I am preparing for the 2024 Alaska Gathering “The Great Alaska Aviation Gathering “. May 4th and May 5th in Palmer Alaska. I will be one of the vendors showing my Landscape Paintings,(aviation inspired). Please follow me on Instagram @mariecdyer or Facebook Marie Dyer to view my new work as it develops. I hope my paintings, classes and posts bring you joy and I…certainly appreciate your support. Look forward to seeing or hearing from you soon. The new year started by me working on a new series of paintings. They are Atmospheric Abstracts, I also started repairs to my property. Both are ongoing projects and I am grateful for the love and support I have received on both fronts. hough this month has been about my work, I certainly don’t want to forget those less fortunate. Particularly, the nonprofits I support. "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life. by what we give." Winston Churchill What I have to give is myself through my work. With this in mind, in March, I will be donating a painting to Holiday 4 Heroes for their March Raffle. All the proceeds will be given to Holidays 4 Heroes Holiday 4 heroes website, Since I can’t decide on which of my original painting to donate, I am asking for help.
